Welcome to New Navadvipa Dhama

Since 1969, His Divine A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, has been distributing the matchless gifts of Krishna Consciousness throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Wherever he traveled in the world, Srila Prabhupada devoted the early morning hours to translating and expounding India’s ancient Vedic literature. Between 1974 and 1976, His Divine Grace performed that sacred duty especially swiftly here in Hawaii, in his room upstairs.

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada

That is how these grounds became a tirtha, a holy place. As King Yudhisthira said to the Sage Vidura: “My lord, devotees like your good self are verily holy places personified. Because you carry the Personality of Godhead within your heart, you turn all places into places of pilgrimage.”iskcon

When you visit the temple room, gift shop, or Prabhupada’s room, now a library filled with his writings, pick up one of his books and taste his devotional ecstasies. They are spiritual windows, enriching our vision of the Lord’s Deity forms in the temple, beheld by His Divine Grace’s own image, “the master at whose feet all masters sit.”

If you feel Srila Prabhupada’s spiritual presence at his tirtha, it is not surprising. As the great vaishnava saint Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura wrote: "He reasons ill who tells that vaishnavas die when thou art living still in sound. The vaishnavas die to live and living tries to spread the holy name around."

Dear devotees and friends and family and well -wishers on the island of Oahu,

Iskcon Honolulu is celebrating the Govardhan Puja 2015 on Thursday, November 12, and observance of Srila Prabhupada's Disappearance Day on Sunday, Nov 15th.  Please mark this on your calendars and plan to join us.

BG Class and SP Night

Please join us every Wednesday evening of either a Bhagavad-gita class or a evening glorifying Srila Prabhupada.  We switch off each week. It's just like a candy cane - whether you like on one side or the other, both sides are always sweet.  So don't miss.  Please attend.  We are waiting for you.

Dear Friends,

The Honolulu temple has extensive improvements and expansion planed.  You can help.  The most important items we would like to tackle is (one) to tent the building for termite and insect removal and (two) then to renovate the living quarters (Brahmacari Ashrama)  of the temple for the full time residents.  These are genuine renunciants and sadhus who have dedicated their lives to the service of the Lord and humanity. They want to continue to live simply on the bare necessities of life in a clean and orderly environment.  Below is the estimated cost of renovation. Please contact our Temple President Sundarananda @ 808-384-5498 and he will be happy to tell you more about how you can help with these projects.
