OUr Story
The first Govinda’s Restaurant in the world of ISKCON was located on Atkinson Blvd across the street from the Diamond head side of Ala Moana Mall next to a surfboard shop. Initially conceptualized by Toshan Krishna Prabhu, the restaurant opened in 1974.
Srila Prabhupada, founding teacher of ISKCON, inquired about the Prasad (spiritual food) distribution at the restaurant. Tarun Kanti, temple president said, “Customers are loving Govinda’s Chapatti sandwiches very much!” In this way, Srila Prabhupada was pleased.

Let us cater your special day with exceptional multicultural cuisines suited to your preferences! Our delicious vegetarian menu is prepared from fresh ingredients right on the premises and is blessed by being offered to Lord Krishna. All our menu items are sattvic and when possible we use organic ingredients.
